This international meeting convened by the UN is to commemorate the 50 years that have passed since the ground-breaking 1972 United Nations Conference on the Human Environment. Attended by 122 countries, it created the UN Environment Programme and made the environment a pressing issue for the first time at a global level.
Stockholm+50 will involve the sharing of experiences, knowledge and initiatives to protect the planet and foster sustainable development. There will also be a focus on a sustainable post-coronavirus recovery, whilst reinforcing the messages and outcomes from UNEP@50. You can join the discussion here.
